My Story
My hometown is Northville, MI. I am a fur mama to a precious black lab named Luna. I graduated from Michigan State University, Class of 2017. I was a member of the Beta Xi chapter of Delta Gamma at Michigan State.
I am now a fifth grade teacher in a public school. I've always known that I wanted to be a teacher, and I've never given up on this dream. Despite the obvious challenges and set backs of this job, I wouldn't consider anything else.
I'm just your average "basic" girl--I love Netflix and Starbucks and whatever is playing on the radio.
The reason for this blog is because my life was completely turned upside down during my senior year of college on October 6th, 2016. I looked my mother in the eyes as she spoke the words "you've been diagnosed with Lymphoma." This is an account of my journey~what gets me down (the blips) and what keeps me going (happy things). I also will talk about how I've learned live a fulfilling life (mentally and physically). Whoever is reading--this might be incredibly boring for you. All I can do is hope that in the process of helping myself, my journal can also help others get through whatever is taking over their life at the time.
Oh yeah, one more thing.
Screw cancer.
In remission since December 2016
